Radio Interference & Denials of Service: A Window Into The Behaviour of Disruption

Radio Interference & Denials of Service:

A Window Into The Behaviour of Disruption

So I've had a chance to document the constant disruptions to my radio network. Looking into it more than I have in the past, it seems the person or people constantly attacking my network don't have much to do in the way of life. The attacks take place multiple times per day, and include jamming, D.O.S., and possibly other methods of attack.

Upon contacting ISED/ISDE, I was advised that ISED does not usually investigate interference to these types of devices. When I described the type of interference, including CRC validated payloads and specific techniques used to create a D.O.S. situation, I was advised to contact police.

With that, here is the details of the ongoing attacks.

 June 4th to 5th 2025:

The first picture demonstrates that I am receiving CRC validated user payloads, along with the disruption to communication.

 June 7th 2025:

The above two pictures show a 'normal' connection times vs after/during an attack.

Again, the above two pictures show 'normal' connection times vs after/during an attack.

Conclusion:

This person or people are obsessed. They spend more time on this, creating problems, than I could possibly imagine, and have been at it for years. Ongoing jamming, denial of service, and other hacking attempts make me believe this person or people have some logical intelligence, but not much in the way of common sense or impulse control. It seems kind of pathetic that after all this time, all they have managed to do is temporarily disrupt the networks, and they have spent countless hours/days/weeks/months/years on this.
